The success of this telling of the life and times of Jesus of Nazareth and his disciples is due not only to the superb production values, but to the chord it strikes in viewers about the depth and breadth, the witness and the wonder, the intimacy and the power, of the person, Jesus Christ. Through anointed story-telling, we find ourselves gripped in new ways by what happened more than 2000 years ago in a tiny sliver of a place known as Israel.
It mattered then. It matters now. Lives were changed then. Lives are being changed now through the masterful creativity and scope of this project.
